# What is FarmRoad's Inside Climate Prediction?
> FarmRoad’s Inside Climate Prediction is our AI-powered hyper-local climate forecasting solution, providing a far more accurate view of the conditions your protected crops are likely to experience in the coming days.
FarmRoad’s Inside Climate Prediction was developed in response to growers wanting to better understand future conditions within their growing structures, enabling more effective climate and irrigation management.
**FarmRoad's Inside Climate Prediction currently supports the following measurements:**
* Temperature (Min, Max, Average)
* Humidity (Average)
* VPD (Hourly)
* Radiation (Hourly)
* Evapotranspiration (Hourly)
Like the outside forecast, there is both an hourly data presentation (available for Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow), and daily forecast (available for the next 7 days).
**To receive inside climate forecasts at your farm:**
1. Your organisation must be on a plan that includes this capability.
2. You must have **at least one sensor installed** at the location where you want an inside climate forecast.
3. The sensor must have been installed at the same location for **at least 4 weeks** to have accumulated enough data to train the AI model.
## How can I view the Inside Climate Prediction forecast for my farm?
1. Open the **Irrigation Forecast Dashboard** by clicking the **Irrigation** icon in the app menu.
2. Select the **farm** or **sector** you want to view. Refer to **Views Explained** below to learn more.
3. Click **Inside**. This may not be necessary if you previously selected a sector.
4. You will now see the predicted inside climate conditions for that location.
## Inside Climate Prediction views explained
There are two different view modes for Inside Climate Prediction:
1. **Farm overview** - this presents an average inside prediction across the farm, averaging the sector (or sensor) specific predictions to give you a quick and easy way of checking on a Farm.
2. **Sector view** - this presents the exact prediction for the location where the sensor is installed..
## Why do I need a FarmRoad sensor to get an inside forecast?
FarmRoad’s climate sensor is an integral part of the inside climate forecast solution.
In the background, an AI model learns the difference between the inside conditions where the sensor is installed and the outside conditions. Without a sensor, FarmRoad cannot train the model to make this translation.
Good sensor coverage is therefore critical if you want to get the most from inside climate forecasting.
